Fabri ("Il Balino") (b Bologna, 1697; d Lisbon, 12 Aug 1760). Italian tenor. He sang in operas in Italy from 1711 and in Handel's operas in London, 1729-31. Several times president of the Accademia Filarmonica of Bologna, he later joined the royal chapel at Lisbon. One of the leading singers of his age, he did much to raise the status of the tenor voice.
